Central Park Lexington <br />Implementation Planning Session One <br />28 May 2013 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Exercise Three was integrated into this exercise as a natural course of the discussion. <br />Responses included: <br /> <br />The sound system was recently redone <br />The Lexington Avenue entry should be a high priority with an electronic message sign <br />Parking area improvements should be a high priority; there is not enough parking today <br />The drop off area should be a high priority and there should be a way to unplug the <br />entry <br />Fencing at the drop off area is a low priority and was seen as both good and bad <br />New restrooms should be a high priority <br />The flag plaza should be a medium priority <br />Special crosswalk treatments should be a high priority; it makes Roseville look classy <br />Priority for the entry stairs was not conclu sive; the accessible route should be signed <br />The lake view plaza and arbor should be a me dium priority; the lake is already visible <br />from the promenade and there were questions about its constructability <br />The lake promenade should be a high priority; it make the park more unique; the <br />problem is keeping kids off it <br />The amphitheater gate should be a medium priority; there should be no gates unless <br />they’re really needed; don’t overstructure the park—let people walk; they should <br />function to keep people out of the back stage area during performances <br />Amphitheater paving upgrades should be a medium priority and should be <br />accomplished when the paving is worn out <br />The information kiosk should be a high priority ; it should orient to walkers in the park <br />and help people understand the park system <br />The gateway to the upper seating area and Jaycee’s Shelter should be a low priority <br />General landscape improvements should be a high priority <br />Look at events and consider tent placement, concessions vehicles, electrical service <br />There should be better bands—like the Sousa Band; there is too much of the same thing <br />today <br />Buses should park remotely, not in these park ing lots; there should be shuttles to get <br />people here from other parts of the park or from other locations <br />
