EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City ofRoseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 10th day of April, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: Wi ski, Goedeke, Mastel and Kysylyczyn. and the following was absent: Maschka. Member Mastel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 9761 Approving By-Law Changes for Roseville Firefighter Relief Association WHEREAS: The Roseville Fire Relief Association Board has requested a number of changes in their By- Laws which provide for an increase in the Fire Pensions and WHEREAS: The City Council believes the Fire Relief request for the By-Law changes are reasonable and WHEREAS: The By-Law changes are within the Plan approved by the City Council on June 29, 1999, and WHEREAS: State Statutes require the City Council by it's authority to approved By-Law changes which affect financial changes in Firefighter benefits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, that the following changes to the By-Laws of the Roseville Firefighter Relief Association be approved with the effective date of January 1, 2000: (1) elimination of the service cap of 30 years on the monthly benefit. (2) increase the temporary disability benefit to 1/30th of the monthly 20 year pension with a maximum of26 weeks. (3) changing the death benefit-due to active duty to 1/lOth of the 20 year service pension and the death benefit from other causes to 1/20th of the 20 year service pension with a maximum of 10 Years. (4) provide for the firefighter 20 year service pension's monthly benefit to be raised to $27 per year of service and the lump sum to increased to $2,700 per year of service. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Wiski and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Wiski, Goedeke, Mastel and Kysylyczyn. and the following voted against the same: None. WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
