<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />ofRoseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 22nd of May 2000, at <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Maschka, Wiski, Goedeke and <br />Kysylyczyn, and the following were absent: none. <br /> <br />Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 9767 <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF A STATE OF MINNESOTA REGIONAL TRAIL INITIATIVE <br />(DNR) GRANT FOR ASSISTANCE WITH CITY'S PORTION <br />OF DALE ST./RESERVOIR WOODS ISTEA GRANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the goal of the Dale St.IReservoir Woods (Waterworks) Trail is to provide <br />a safe and convenient link between the local and regional trail networks <br />that allow users access to numerous area amenities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the regional significance of this linkage makes it highly valuable to <br />recreational and commuter cyclists, in-line skaters, walkers and runners; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because it passes through a conservancy area it IS ideal for nature <br />enthusiasts, bird watchers and hikers, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville needs has committed to the acceptance of an ISTEA <br />grant to construct the Dale St.IReservoir Woods (Waterworks) Trail; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is committed to maintain and make the trail <br />accessible to the citizens of Minnesota; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Roseville <br />does hereby accept the Minnesota Regional Trail Initiative (DNR) grant for assistance <br />with the City's portion of Dale St.IReservoir Woods ISTEA grant. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Mastel, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mastel, Maschka, Wiski, Goedeke and Kysylyczyn and the following voted against the <br />same: none. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
