Anderson request requires an 11 % variance to the 30%
(41 % proposed) allowable impervious area; and

WHEREAS, the purpose of the large detached garage is for storage of a classic car, boat,
a vehicle, and ancillary yard and personal items;

WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the
request on Wednesday, July 12,2000, and recommended (6-1) approval of a modified variance
of9.5% to 750 s.f. for the garage to the allowed maximum impervious surface. This approval
was based on the following findings:

A. There is a physical hardship in the request by the applicant for a variance to exceed
the permitted lot coverage.

B. The applicant did not create the hardship.

C. There is a unique physical feature to the property that would justify the variance,
specifically the narrow shape of the lot and requiring an extended length of driveway.

1
