Department Approval <br />��. �: � <br />1��� <br />J�. <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 10/14/2013 <br />Item No. : 7. c <br />City Manager Approval <br />��.'``� � <br />� <br />Item Description: Approve General Purchases or Sale of Surplus Items Exceeding $5,000 <br />BACKGROUND <br />City Code section 103.05 establishes the requirement that all general purchases and/or contracts in excess <br />of $5,000 be approved by the Council. In addition, State Statutes require that the Council authorize the <br />sale of surplus vehicles and equipment. <br />General Purchases or Contracts <br />City Staff have submitted the following items for Council review and approval: <br />Budget / <br />De artment Vendor Descri tion Amount CIP <br />Community Dev. Net cost is <br />shown. <br />c) During the June 21, 2013 storm event a pathway wall was damaged at 2323 Terminal Road. <br />Sale of Surplus Vehicles or Equipment <br />City Staff have identified surplus vehicles and equipment that have been replaced and/or are no longer <br />needed to deliver City programs and services. These surplus items will either be traded in on replacement <br />items or will be sold in a public auction or bid process.
