Ms. Klink <br />772 <br />expressed her appreciation for a best value process similar to that used for <br />773 <br />recycling, and her interest in the values of residents for a clean environment being <br />774 <br />reflected in whatever option the City chose. Ms. Kline advised that she felt very <br />775 <br />strongly about environmental issues; and from her personal perspective the ability <br />776 <br />to support small, locally -owned businesses. Recognizing that the consortium <br />777 <br />model had been operating for tras llection in the City of Minneapolis for some <br />778 <br />time, Ms. Klink stated that she ha r own personal concerns with the City <br />779 <br />moving to a single hauler, which by necessity would squeeze out local, family - <br />780 <br />owned businesses competing in the market. <br />781 <br />782 <br />At the request of Vice Chair Stenlund for clan ication, Ms. Klink expressed <br />783 <br />appreciation for the community values included in the Imagine Roseville 2025 <br />784 <br />and other resident values guiding any deliberations. <br />785 <br />795 9.
