Human Rights Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 18, 2013 <br />Commissioners: Scot Becker, Michele Courneya, Chair Gary Grefenberg, Wayne Groff, <br />David Singleton and Kaying Thao (excused from meeting at 7:56 p.m.) <br />Youth Commissioners: Sarah Thomas <br />Commissioners Absent: Vice Chair Jill Brisbois (excused) and Youth Commissioners Joan <br />Dao and Sungmoon Lim (excused) <br />Staff Present: Carolyn Curti <br />Others Present: City Council Member Bob Willmus <br />Call to Order <br />The Human Rights Commission (HRC) meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. Commissioners <br />then introduced themselves. <br />In the absence of Jill Brisbois Chair Gary Grefenberg asked Scot Becker to serve as Vice -Chair <br />for the meeting. He agreed. <br />Approve Agenda <br />Chair Grefenberg requested that the agenda as distributed be amended to allow Committee <br />Assignments be discussed under Old Business as Item 6B. <br />Commissioner David Singleton moved and Commissioner Becker seconded a motion to approve <br />the agenda as amended. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Swearing in of Commissioner Michele Courneya <br />Chair Grefenberg administered the Oath of Office to Commissioner Michele Courneya. <br />Approve Minutes <br />Commissioner Singleton moved and Commissioner Kaying Thao seconded a motion to approve <br />minutes of July 17, 2013 as amended. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Public Comment <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Commission on an item not on the agenda, <br />the chair moved to the next agenda item. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Distribution of August- December Commission Calendar <br />
