Approve Minutes of <br />November 20 Meeting <br />Human Rights Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />DRAFT — November 20, 2013 - DRAFT <br />Commissioners: Scot Becker, Vice Chair Jill Brisbois, Michele Courneya, Chair Gary <br />Grefenberg, and Kaying Thao (arrived at 6:40 p.m.) <br />Youth Commissioners: Sarah Thomas and Sungmoon Lim <br />Commissioners Absent: <br />Staff Present: <br />Joan Dao, David Singleton and Wayne Groff <br />Carolyn Curti <br />Also Present: Mohamed Kevnan & unidentified vouth <br />Call to Order <br />The Human Rights Commission (HRC) meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. Chair Gary <br />Grefenberg requested commissioners introduce themselves. <br />Approve A�enda <br />Chair Grefenberg requested changes to the agenda: � the election of officers would be at a <br />time certain no later than 8:00 p.m., and that u° r°^„°�*°�' the remarks by the outgoing chair be <br />held after the election. <br />Commissioner Scot Becker moved and Vice Chair Jill Brisbois seconded a motion to approve the <br />agenda as amended. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Approve Minutes <br />Vice Chair Jill Brisbois moved and Commissioner Scot Becker seconded a motion to approve the <br />minutes of October 16, 2013 as distributed. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Public Comment <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Commission on an item not on the agenda, <br />the chair moved to the next agenda item. <br />Committee and Chair Reports <br />Chair's Report <br />Update on Karen Initiative: Chair Grefenberg provided an update on the HRC's Karen <br />Initiative.
