REQUEST FOR HRA ACTION <br />Date: 1-21-14 <br />Item No: 6.f. <br />Staff Approval: Agenda Section: <br /> Consent <br />Item Description: Approval of Consultant Services Contract with the Greater <br />Metropolitan Housing Corporation for Housing Resource Center in <br />2014 <br />Requested Action <br />Approve, by consent, a consultant services contract with GMHC for the Housing Resource <br />Centerin 2014. <br />Background <br />The Housing Resource Center will continue to serve the residents of the City of Roseville by <br />providing housing information, rehabilitation consultations and loan programs. The fee for <br />service for 2014 is as follows: <br />Construction Management Services to assist City residents: And other non-loan services <br />provided, the HRA shall pay to the HRC ($14,000.00). This is an increase by $1,000 based <br />upon current use of the construction management services. <br />Loan Administration of the Roseville Home Improvement Loan Program: In 2013 we <br />negotiated that the loan applicant will pay a nonrefundable applicationfee of $75.00 and will <br />be charged at the time of application.A loan closing fee of $350 will be included in the loan <br />amount to cover the cost of origination, closing and escrowing funds. There is no <br />recommended changes to this for 2014. <br />Staff Recommended Action <br />Staff is recommending the approval, by consent, for a consultant services contract with GMHC <br />for the Housing ResourceCenterin 2013.
