Cities must adjust their voting precin t boundaries within 60 days of the Legislature's redistricting or by April 30, 2002, w 'chever comes first. Based on legislative redistricting, cities will redraw precinct lines to fol ow mandated divisions (census block, along recognizable physical features, high ays, rivers, railroads). Lines must correspond with legislative and congressional district . Although the City cannot take offici action until the Legislature approves the statewide redistricting plan, we can prepare for the project. Please refer to pages 55-57 of the attached document for a list of responsibilities and tasks that the city will complete.
