SECTION 6: TITLE 2, CHAPTER 206, ETHICS COMMISSION: <br />SECTION: <br />206.01 <br />206.02 <br />206.03 <br />206.04 <br />206.01: <br />Establishment and Membership <br />Organization <br />Meetings and Reports <br />Duties and Functions <br />ESTABLISHMENT AND MEMBERSHIP: <br />There is established an ethics commission of the City which shall consist of five members <br />appointed by the City Council. Members shall be residents of the City and appointed for three <br />year staggered terms. Terms of the initial members will be established by the council at the time <br />of their appointment. No member shall serve more than two full consecutive terms. <br />206.02 : ORGANIZATION: <br />The Commission shall annually elect one member to serve as chairperson and one member to <br />serve as vice chairperson. <br />206.03: MEETINGS AND REPORTS: <br />The Commission shall annually adopt a regular meeting schedule and may hold other meetings, <br />as it deems necessary. The Commission may adopt rules for the transaction of business and shall <br />keep a record of its meetings and actions. <br />206.04: DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: <br />The duties and functions of the Commission shall be as follows: <br />A. Serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters involving any ethics code <br />adopted by the City Council. <br />B. Administer any ethics code adopted by the City Council. <br />C. Perform other duties and functions or conduct studies as specifically directed or delegated <br />by the City CounciL (Ord. 1338, 6-12-2006) <br />
