Attachment A <br />Job Summary — Utilitv Superintendent: <br />Under the direction of the Public Warks Director, the Utilities Superintendent is responsible for <br />all aspects of the City's sewer and water utility function in conformity with the city, community, <br />and departmental goals and objectives. This position helps the Director to define, establish and <br />attain overall goals and objectives of the Utility Division and performs specialized duties as <br />assigned. This position will apply professional principles and judgment to assist with the <br />planning, leadership, operations, and administration of the Utilities area of the City, to assure <br />effective operation and to avoid unsafe conditions or service interruptions in any of these <br />functions while providing for the comprehensive management and supervision of the assigned <br />functions and programs to include but are not limited to the planning, day to day operations, <br />supervision, development, training, budgeting, analysis and troubleshooting, and administrative <br />and managerial duties within the utilities area including reporting and recordkeeping; and takes <br />an active leadership and participatory role in department and citywide programs, public relations, <br />planning and operations. <br />Job Summary — Streets Superintendent: <br />Under the direction of the Public Warks Director, the Streets Superintendent is responsible for <br />all aspects of the City's streets and storm water utility function in conformity with the city, <br />community, and departmental goals and objectives. This position helps the Director to define, <br />establish and attain overall goals and objectives of the Streets and Stormwater Division and <br />performs specialized duties as assigned. This position will apply professional principles and <br />judgment to assist with the planning, leadership, operations, and administration of the Streets and <br />Stormwater area of the City, to assure effective operation and to avoid unsafe conditions or <br />service interruptions in any of these functions while providing for the comprehensive <br />management and supervision of the assigned functions and programs to include but are not <br />limited to the planning, day to day operations, supervision, development, training, budgeting, <br />analysis and troubleshooting, and administrative and managerial duties within the streets and <br />starmwater area including reporting and recordkeeping; and takes an active leadership and <br />participatory role in department and citywide programs, public relations, planning and <br />operations. <br />Job Summary — Working Foreman, Utilities: <br />Oversees the operations of the sewer and water utility maintenance division through scheduling, <br />directing, and coordinating parks maintenance personnel as directed by the Department <br />Superintendent. The Warking Foreman is expected to participate in regular utility maintenance <br />tasks, perform intermediate troubleshooting and analysis, make recommendations, and keep <br />records as required. This position drives the standards of safety, operations, and maintenance of <br />the utility infrastructure. <br />
