<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on <br />Monday, the 12th day of February, 2001 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Klausing, Maschka, Mastel and Kysylyczyn <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9863 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PRIORITIES FOR ROSEVILLE AND RAMSEY COUNTY <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS (CDBG) AND HOME INVESTMENT <br />PARTNERSHIP (HOME) FUNDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Comprehensive Plan and Housing Policy adopted by the City <br />Council provides specific goals to provide a variety of housing types, improve the quality of <br />below average housing unites, fill the gaps to enable all stages of life cycle housing for entry <br />level to senior citizens, assist entry level family housing and retain and expand the business <br />community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has, since 1985, continued to be an active participant in <br />the Ramsey County CDBG and HOME Programs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, annually the City Council establishes goals for housing and economic <br />development and recommends priorities for the Ramsey County CDBG and HOME project <br />funding. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Roseville <br />hereby establishes the following five City of Roseville-and County CDBG/HO ME housing and <br />economic development funding priorities (1 is highest rating, 5 is lowest rating): <br /> <br />1. Rehabilitation of owner-occupied single family housing <br />2. Homeownership for first time buyers who are low to moderate income <br />3. New affordable housing construction - senior / special needs <br />4. Rehabilitation of rental properties <br />5. Job creation opportunities <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Mastel and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Klausing, <br />Maschka, Mastel and Kysylyczyn and the following voted against the same: None <br /> <br />WHERE UPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />Q:\Housing\2001 County Priorities.RES.doc <br />
