Problenns with poverty or the economy. People know about those and they caxe about those but they often overlook the biggest problerns that are sitting right in front of us. These kinds of issues are harder to see and easier to ignore just because some people don't see the harm in them; stereotypes and prejudice. Judging people before you even know their first names. Damaging the Human Rights has become some Americans �rst nature because most of the time they don't even know they are doing it. Stereotypes have been wired znto their brain by society and they don't know a way around it. Everyday I see stereotypes everywhere T go, some people wouldn't give ifi a second glance but I notice. I wake up in the morning to mry mom shaking me awake. "It's time for school honey." she says "I've made you your breakfast." Iv�om makes me breakfast every morning along with all the other house work she does. She doesn't work to make money in the city like dad. The house is always tidy and clean thanks to her constantly cleaning it. Mom tells me all the time how she wished she could contribute to the family financially and not make dad do all the work, but she also knows how much we need her here. Personally I think that if mom wants to work she should, it doesn't matter that she's not the man of the house. At school we learned that the Minnesota Human Rights Act says that employment is open to all genders so I don't know what's keeping mom from going out and getting a job. She's a really hard worker so I guess she must just feel it's her job to stay home and be bored all day. I don't understand why. 1 of 4 11/1/13 9:13 A1VI
