<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />OF CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, was held in the City Hall in said City on Monday, May 7, 2001 at 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Goedeke, Mastel, Wiski, Maschka & Kysy1yczyn and the <br />following were absent: none. <br /> <br />Council member Klausing introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 9883 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN MnI DOT AND THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />FOR PROFESSIONAL/ TECHNICAL SERVICES <br />ON THE HIGHWAY 36 DRAINAGE STUDY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the ditch along the south side of Highway 36 between the Snelling Avenue and <br />Hamline Avenue exits, has flooded into the lower level of the building at 1500 Commerce Street on <br />two separate occasions; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the owners of this building, Wellington Management, have requested that the <br />City of Roseville and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) investigate the cause <br />of the flooding; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the City of Roseville, Mn/DOT, and Wellington Management have determined <br />that storm water modeling of this ditch and the contributing subwatersheds should be done to <br />investigate alternatives on how the building owners concerns may be addressed; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the cost of this study will be split one-third Mn/DOT and two-thirds City of <br />Roseville; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the City of Roseville, Mn/DOT, and Wellington Management have agreed to <br />equally split the cost of this study, estimated at $15,000; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, Mn/DOT requires a Joint Powers Agreement to share in the cost ofthis study; <br /> <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, that the <br />Mayor and the City Manager are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to <br />execute and enter into an agreement with Mn/DOT prescribing the terms and conditions of the said <br />cooperative agreement as set forth. <br />
