On the <br />calendar was the Roberts variance request. Previously Steve <br />indicated to you that you would not need to appear at last <br />night's Council meeting. He was apparently mistaken. <br /> <br />The Council has continued this action until June 8 at <br />which time they would like you to appear to address certain <br />issues. Please understand the City is inclined to grant the <br />variance as long as certain conditions can be agreed upon. <br />The City's concerns are: <br /> <br />(1) Roberts proposed a 100 square foot sign area. The <br />City would like to reduce that to 70 square feet. <br /> <br />(2) Roberts proposed a sign with a maximum height of <br />24 feet.
