<br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />DATE: 8-13-90 <br />ITEM NO.: ~-~ <br /> <br /> <br />Manager Reviewed: <br /> <br />Agenda section: <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Consent <br /> <br />Don Leedy request for a minor variance at 447 <br />Rose Place. <br /> <br />The Roseville Minor variance Committee convened on Thursday, July <br />26, 1990 and unanimously recommended approval of Don Leedy's request <br />for a minor variance at 447 Rose Place. <br /> <br />Mr. Leedy requested a variance to allow a 6 foot high fence within 5 <br />feet of the property line adjacent to Rose Place. The zoning <br />ordinance requires that a 6 foot fence be set back 30 feet from a <br />property line adjacent to a street. <br /> <br />The Minor variance Committee believed this was a reasonable request <br />based on the location of the existing trees and deck on the site. A <br />fence located 30 feet from the property line would not allow proper <br />access around the deck. In reviewing the matter it was also <br />determined that the proposed location is the only location that <br />would not require the removal of existing trees. The proposed <br />location would be away from the intersection and would not cause any <br />visibility problems. <br /> <br />All impacted neighbors supported the project. <br /> <br />Required: <br />Proposed: <br />Variance: <br />% variance: <br /> <br />30 feet <br />5 feet <br />25 feet <br />83% <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to approve/deny Don Leedy's <br />request for a minor variance at 447 Rose <br />Place. <br />
