The value of a diverse housing stock is important to the city (from <br />Vista 2000). <br /> <br />Rebecca Caulfield, 1117 Oakcrest, explained that traffic was a major concern., <br />\Vhat is proposed on Lexington and County Road C right-of-way? Mr. Wietecki <br />stated that the right-of-way would be improved but not private property. Is traffic <br />to increase? (Not yet, awaiting specific proposals) <br /> <br />Eugene Bahniman, 2656 Lexington Avenue, expressed concern about decline in <br />property value on his site, and more traffic on the site. He asked what is "a source <br />of pride"? What is an indoor/outdoor park? <br /> <br />Tanya Lafollette, mobile home park resident, lives her because of location, <br />security; put a recreation center in Central Park. The neighborhood is good. Does <br />the City have any idea when transit would come to Roseville? <br /> <br />Bill Lansky, 2725 Dellwood Ave., asked what will happen to Howard Johnson <br />Park? \Vhy did the boundary not include Central Park? \Vhat stops a commercial <br />tattoo parlor? wm property values change? Mr. Wietecki notcd there is currently <br />no linkage to Howard Johnson Park. <br /> <br />Alice Pierce, Snelling Avenue, asked how much was the grant? What are the <br />long-term costs of this plan? Will there be an increase in tax rates to the City of <br />RoseviHe? Hamline Center is in need of commercial revamping. Mr. Wietecki <br />noted that long-term costs are unclear at this time, but hopes are that costs can be <br />shared with public/private partnership. <br /> <br />Jim Foley, 2717 Merrill St., statcd the city docs not need more buildings or <br />transi t. <br /> <br />Paula Griffin, mobile home park, stated she was opposed to changes in the mobile <br />fiome park. <br /> <br />Paula Maczko, Fernwood Ave., expressed concern about property tax, property' <br />value, and traffic. \Vhere will the building be located and what will the zoning <br />be? <br /> <br />Sheila Ryan, 2690 Oxford St., Parkvicw Terrace Condos, asked why this comes to <br />the Planning Commission first? Mr. Wietecki explained the need for the district in <br />order to prepare the master plan, Why "may" is used on complementary uses <br />such as housing or retail? <br /> <br />Don Siegfried, 2680 Oxford St., Parkview Terrace Condo, asked how an <br />amphitheater, pool, and all the other uses will fit within 121 acres? Should the <br />planning process be more specific? Why should Central Park not be included? <br />
