DEFINITION OF THE DISTRICT (draft for consideration and inclusion in Comprehensive Plan after a public hearinl: to be held on May 12. 1999 by the Roseville Planninl: Commission. with a decision by the City Council anticipated May 24. 1999. or at a later date.) Within the City of Roseville Comprehensive Plan and Map, (Section 4, Subsection II, pages two and three), the listing and dcscri ti of Land Use Categories is hereby amended to add the "City Center Land Use District" s: is district, with a boundary as described above and consisting of approximate , shall be defined as a mixed use area wherein current and future public and priva ay occur simultaneously and adjacent to each other. The uses may include civic center(s) for the community, government, and recreation programs, with complementary public or private housing, retail, transportation, and other uses as allowed in the City Center District Zoning Ordinance. The site planning, design and architecture, and public infrastructure investments shall be consistent with a master plan for the area. PUBLIC PARTICPATION AND INPUT PROCESS Process continues with notice, public meetings, and video of meetings; invitations and discussions with interest groups and residents at May 20th meeting; Planning Commission to hold public hearings on addition of" City Center District" to the City's Comprehensive Plan. LOCATION OF DISTRICT: The location of the City Center District is the area shown on the attached map and generally described as follows: Beginning at the northwest comer of Howard Johnson Park along Woodhill Drive, east along the Woodhill Drive right~of-way (and also including the VFW, Shopping Center, and Veteran's Park north of Wood hill Drive) to Victoria Street; then south along Victoria to the intersection with County Road "C"; then west along the south right-of-way line of the BNSF railroad right-of-way (and also including the Roseville Mobile Home Park adjacent to the railroad right-of-way) to a point of intersection with a line extended south along the west property line of Howard Johnson Park; the north along the west edge of Howard Johnson Park to the point of beginning. 3
