New multi-family housing is provided in the north east comer of the City Center and west of the new City Hall. Development Option B Option B (Illustration I) proposes keeping City Halt in its existing location with a new 20,000 SF addition to the west that would accommodate an expanded police station and relocated license bureau and parks and recreation department. A new Community Center (40,000 SF) is located to the north of the Recreation Center effectively linking all the recreation and community center functions together in one complex. New multi-family residential is located on the north and east sides of the City Center with ground level service commercial uses. Structured parking is located in the northeast comer of the City Center in a location that minimizes its impact on the City Square. Access to the parking can be obtained from the City Square of directly from Woodhill Drive. Additional parking is located in a one level ramp over the existing Ice Arena surface parking lot and in a surface parking lot to the north of the Ice Arena. The comer of County Road C and Lexington A venue has been kept undeveloped. A new pedestrian connection is illustrated to Central Park through an enhanced landscaped environment. Development Option C Option C (Illustration J) proposes keeping City Hall in its existing location with no expansion. A new Community Center (40,000 SF) is proposed on the east side of City Square. A "wintergarden" at the comer of County Road C and Lexington Avenue provides a year round indoor public gathering place and a strong link between City Halt and the Community Center. A new Public Safety Building (50,000 SF) is proposed on the north side of City Square that would accommodate a new police station and fire station. The police station would be the portion of the building fronting onto City Square. The fire station would be attached to the police station and situated in a manner for easy vehicle flow in and out ofthe facility. The design would encourage inbound non-emergency vehicle movement from the new north/south road, with out bound on caU emergency vehicles accessing directly on to Woodhill Drive and Lexington Avenue. Parking would be provides for aU uses in a new parking structure (150 spacesl1evel, 4 - 5 levels) located in the northeast comer of the City Center with access from City Square and Woodhill Drive. The ground floor of the parking Structure would be reserved for police vehicle storage and police force and firefighter parking. Additional parking would be provided in surface parking lots to the north and south of the Ice Arena. Development Option D Option D (Illustration K) locates a new City Hall on the east side of City Square also orienting to Lexington A venue.
