BACKGROUND <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />This is an application for a special use permit to operate an amusement <br />arcade within the Crossroads of Roseville Shopping Center. This would <br />be a tenant use within the approved center, and thus, the majority of <br />the typical zoning issues related to free-standing uses do not apply. <br />The subject property is zoned SC Shopping Center and amusement <br />-arcades are authorized through the issuance of a special permit in the <br />SC District. <br /> <br />The criteria for issuance of a special use permit are listed in Section <br />12.035. These criteria are as follows: <br /> <br />1. Impact on traffic. <br />2. Impact on parks, streets, and other public facilities. <br />3. Compatibility of the site plan, internal traffic circulation, <br />landscaping and structures with contiguous properties. <br />4. Impact of the use on the market value of contiguous <br />properties. <br />5. Impact on the general public health, safety and welfare. <br />6. Compatibility with the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />2. DEVELOPMENT SUMMARY <br /> <br />The applicants are proposing to lease Space L5 in the Crossroads center, <br />which contai ns 1,406 square feet. The application is for approximately <br />25 amusement deviq.es. The requested hours of operation are - from <br />Sunday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday <br />10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. <br /> <br />3.
