August 15, 1990

FROM:

Rick Jopke
Bob Bierscheid f313
Variance Request for Roseville Cedarholm Golf Course

TO:

RE:

The request for the variance for the Roseville Cedarholm Golf
Course parking lot proj ect is necessitated because of the
required right-of-way setback. This requirement would place a
hardship on the Golf Course because of the elimination of all of
the parking places along the east side of the parking lot. The
existing condition has been at the Golf Course ever since its
conception. Any elimination of parking stalls would result in a
tremendous problem for the Golf Course as well as the surrounding
neighborhood~ An elimination of this number of stalls would,
most likely, require the closing of the Golf Course.

Our plans for the proj ect are to redo the asphal t surface,
transfer the current entrance and exit into one new center
entrance/exit that will be signalized and coordinate with the
Hamline/Highway 36 intersection. The parking lot would be curbed
with gutters and landscaped.

."
