Johnson stated that it could but that <br />wasn't what was before the Commission. Kettler stated that the <br />Shoreview units were so successful that people wanted them in <br />Roseville, and because of the cost of the land, a single family <br />home cannot be supported, its too expensive. <br /> <br />Mr. Bochinski, 1040 Parker, stated that when one stands in front <br />of the homes in Shoreview, you cannot see the home because it <br />blocks the garage. He stated that the proposed home doesn't fit <br />in the neighborhood. The other twin homes builtin the area <br />complement each other, these don't. Bochinski stated that they <br />moved into the neighborhood because they liked the area. he <br />stated that the neighborhood is not a retirement neighborhood. <br /> <br />that <br />single <br /> <br />he liked the way the <br />family home was more <br /> <br />Mr. Stark, 1009 Parker, stated <br />neighborhood looks and that a <br />appropriate for the lot. <br /> <br />Phil Paschal, 999 Parker, stated that the home does not fit in <br />with the neighborhood, and that it could change the neighborhood <br />from one of single family to multifamily. Johnson stated that it <br />is the policy of the City not to cluster R2 zonings. <br /> <br />Mr. Edwards, 1032 Parker, presented pictures of the Shoreview <br />homes, he stated that they look nice and complemented each <br />other. Edwards presented pictures of the homes in the <br />neighborhood. He stated that the proposed twin home does not fit <br />in with the homes in the neighborhood. Edwards stated that the <br />developer said he had support of the neighborhood which was a <br />surprise. Edwards presented a map of the neighborhood outlining <br />those property owners who opposed the plan and those who <br />supported the plan. Edwards also presented a petition with the <br />names of 47 people who opposed the proposal. <br /> <br />Mr. Foster stated he had experience in planning, real estate, and <br />marketing. He stated that after the replatting, this \\Till be <br />split into to 43 foot lots, while all the other lots have over 80 <br />feet. Foster presented passages of the Comprehensive plan which <br />state that the city should protect the integrity of the <br />neighborhoods. Mr. Foster testified that by subdividing the <br />neighborhood integrity would be hurt. Mr. Foster stated that he <br />is opposed because the proposal is not consistent with the <br />neighborhood. <br /> <br />A neighbor stated that she noticed clusters of twin homes for <br />sale near County Rd. B and Dale street. She stated that this <br />concerned her. Kettler replied that there is a demand for these <br />type of homes. <br /> <br />
