The City Council previously approved a special use permit to <br />allow Lava Links to locate on the lower level of the <br />Crossroads Shopping Center at 1655 W. County Road B-2. <br /> <br />2. Lava Links has been successful and there are 45 minute to one <br />hour waits for people to use the facility on weekends. <br /> <br />3. The applicant is requesting permission to expand the use to <br />provide an area for some type of food and refreshments and to <br />provide games (putting games, darts, basketball, etc.) that <br />patrons can use while they are waiting to use the other <br />facilities on the site. Because the original facility is an <br />amusement establishment and because expansion will include <br />more amusements, a special use permit is required. <br /> <br />4.
