LAVA LINKS EXPANSION PROPOSAL After two months of operation at Lava Links, it has become apparent that additional space may be necessary. The primary purpose of this additional space is to offer an area for groups to congregate prior to or after their golf outing. Birthday parties. company parties and other groups have found Lava Links an ideal place to meet and entertain themselves. However. the current facility offers little space for these groups to assemble. Consequently, Pure Golf. Inc. has begun negotiations with Welsh Companies to lease an additional 1700 square feet adjacent to Lava Links. The general concensus of all parties involved is that the Clubhouse concept would be the best use of the proposed additional space. Specifically. this would include an eating area (with grill & fryer, offering sandwiches, hamburgers, fries, etc.) that could be made into a private meeting room. also. within the expansion would be other forms of entertainment including; electronic darts, Hoops USA basketball. Putting Challenge and shuffleboard. This space would offer an area to congregate or to simply entertain themselves while waiting to play golf (currently, over 30 minute waits have occured during peak hours). The management of Lava Links would continue to operate this area with the same integrity used in the existing facility. A primary goal of Lava Links is to offer a wholesome form of entertainment for family, friends or other groups. So far, this goal has been accomplished as can be seen by the family business particularly during the weekend days. People of all ages and skill levels seem to enjoy the challenge and entertainment offered at Lava Links. This proposed expansion would further enhance the opportunities for the customer with more activities, making their outing longer and more enjoyable. It appears that offering food in this area may serve several purposes. Currently, there is no place within the Crossroads Shopping Center to have a sandwich. Consequently, Lava Links could be serving the lunch customer as well as its golfing customers. This will probably increase the golf business during the weekday lunch times as well as in the evening. Also, the course simulators take up to 4 hours for a foursome to play, obviously these golfers may get hungry during their game. However, it is not anticipated that customers would drive specifically to Lava Links for food. The primary food business would come from those people intending to play golf or other patrons of the Center. In conclusion, Lava Links has proven to be an alternative form of ' entertainment for people of all ages, by offering other entertaiment forms and an area for groups to congregate, with close supervision, this addition can only make the customers golf outing more enjoyable.
