Eureka Recycling selects random sections to study for each daily recycling route, each section being comprised of about 200 households per day, for a total study of over 1,000 households. These same sections will be studied every year for consistency. Over a four week period, Eureka Recycling tallies the exact number of households that set out recycling for collection in the morning of their collection day, before the driver services the section.
