GIRTS Girts are 8" or 9 Y.z" deep, cold-formed, z-shaped wall structurals which span between sidewall columns or endwall posts. They are designed to act as either simple or continuous span beams along the sidewall, and simple span beams along the endwall, supporting wind load forces transmitted from the wall panels. Spacing varies per wind load criteria and wall panel type.
