County Road D. <br /> <br />Backqround: <br /> <br />1. city ordinances require that automobile rental agencies <br />located in B-3 zoning districts obtain a special use permit. <br /> <br />2. Snappy Car Rental has been operating an automobile rental <br />agency at 2310 W. County Road D without the required special <br />use permi t. They have requested that the City issue a <br />special use permit in accordance with the ordinance to allow <br />them to remain at that location and to have up to 7 vehicles <br />stored on the site. <br /> <br />3. The Planning commission unanimously recommended that the City <br />Council approve BCHPS Properties request for a special use <br />permit for an automobile rental agency at 2310 W. County Road <br />D with the condition that there be no storage of trailers on <br />the site. <br /> <br />Alternatives: <br /> <br />1. Deny the variance based on the. finding that the proposal <br />would be detrimental to the general health, public safety, <br />and welfare. <br /> <br />2. Approve the special use permit based on the finding that the <br />proposal would not be detrimental to the general public <br />health, safety, and welfare. <br /> <br />Policy Obiective: <br /> <br />1. To insure that development occurs consistent with the City's <br />comprehensive plan and zoning ordinances. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. It is recommended that the City council approve BCHPS <br />Properties request for a special use permit for an automobile <br />rental agency at 2310 W. County Road D with the condition <br />that there be no storage of trailers on the site and that no <br />
