The applicant wishes to expand the <br />existing dwelling towards the lake in an area currently occupied by <br />decks and a screen porch. The closest point of the existing deck is <br />approximately 60 feet from the lake and the existing structure is <br />approximately 80 feet from the lake. The closest part of the <br />remodeled structure and deck would be 68 feet from the lake. The <br />City shoreline ordinance requires a 75 foot setback. The remodeled <br />dwelling would have a setback from the lake similar to that of the <br />house to the north and would have a greater setback than the <br />adjacent house to the south. <br /> <br />Staff has reviewed the request and finds it to be reasonable.
