The <br />building front and entrance face west. The pylon sign, which is 70 <br />sq. ft. in size and 25 ft. tall, is situated in the southwest <br />corner of this property and is perpendicular to Snelling Avenue. <br />It is intended for viewing by northbound and southbound traffic. <br />The pylon sign has no viewing exposure to eastbound or westbound <br />traffic on County Road C. <br /> <br />The current sign code allows for a total of 168.76 sq. ft. of <br />signage for all building signs versus the 305 sq. ft. of signs <br />which we are requesting. <br /> <br />Because of the building placement on the lot, the excessive <br />building setback from Snelling Avenue, and the placement of the <br />pylon sign for viewing by northbound and southbound traffic <br />traveling on Snelling Avenue only, there exists a complete lack of <br />identification for traffic heading westbound and eastbound on <br />county Road C. There is only limited viewing of the wall sign on <br />the front of the building (west face) for the eastbound traffic on <br />County Road C. <br /> <br />The current sign ordinance would allow for the sign on the front <br />(west face) of the building, as shown on the blueprint, but a wall <br />sign only one half the size indicated on the blueprint for the <br />south wall of the building - the area that would be most visible <br />from County Road C, both eastbound and westbound. A wall sign on <br />the south wall of the building which is one half the size shown on <br />the blueprint would'be totally inadequate for viewability and would <br />look totally out of proportion to the rest of the building facing <br />area. <br /> <br />Red Lobster. <br /> <br />The Olive Garden", <br />
