He <br />explained that the west edge of his driveway is less than five <br />feet from his property line and in order to comply with current <br />city code he is requesting this variance. Compliance <br />with city code during the upcoming street upgrading on Ryan <br />Avenue would mean a serious financial hardship for me wi thout <br />the variance requested. In addition, I cannot rebuild to change <br />the width of my driveway to comply with the full measure of the <br />five-foot distance from neighboring property line without leaving <br />this dr i veway totally useless. There would be no room to pass <br />between my house to access my garage. <br />
