I work with victims of a wide range of crimes including but not limited to; <br />burglaries, robberies, assaults and families of homicide victims. I have been with Hennepin County since 1999 and have <br />held this position since 2006. The victims I work with are comprised of many different ethnicities, religious beliefs, and <br />sexual orientation. Every victim should be afforded the same opportunities to exercise their rights as victims and given <br />resources to help cope with these traumatic events. <br />Education:: 1995 graduated from Roseville Area High School. <br />1999 gradated from Hamline University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. <br />Civic and Volunteer Activities (Past and Present):: In the past I have volunteered with the Multiple Sclerosis Society (my <br />mother has MS). <br />I also worked with an organization called Bill's Pantry which collected, packaged and delivered food to clients who were <br />diagnosed with AIDS or were HIV Positive. <br />Please state your reasons for wanting to serve on the Commission/Board:: My husband and I chose Roseville to live and <br />raise our daughter. We have strong ties to Roseville and wish to remain here for a long time. I believe that the best way <br />to help build and keep a strong community is to be involved and help facilitate positive change when necessary. <br />
