f�� <br />� <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Department Approval <br />rl��-- <br />Date: 5/5/14 <br />Item No.: 10.b <br />City Mana�er Annroval <br />��....-���. <br />Item Description: Ramsey County Presentation on Roseville Library Hamline Ave Access <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City has received comments from residents and users of the Roseville Public Library <br />regarding conflicts at the north access to the library along Hamline Ave. The concerns generally <br />center on vehicles turning left into the library from Hamline Ave. <br />Due to the current striping on Hamline Ave, southbound vehicles on Hamline turning left into <br />the library at the north access are using the left turn lane that is striped for northbound traffic <br />turning left at the signalized intersection onto Commerce Street. The concern is over potential <br />conflicts between the two left turning vehicles. <br />Ramsey County Traffic Engineer Erin Laberee will make a short presentation on the current <br />conditions and known crash history in this area and discuss what, if any, options there are to <br />respond to the concerns. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />Ramsey County maintains and operates roadways within its jurisdiction to provide regional <br />transportation connections between municipalities.
