Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday,March 24, 2014 <br /> Page 25 <br /> As she stated in February, Councilmember Laliberte expressed her preference to <br /> retain the larger respondent pool at 400. <br /> Laliberte moved, McGehee seconded, retaining the larger sampling pool, and in- <br /> creasing the budget by$2,500 accordingly, for a total of cost of$17,500 with 400 <br /> respondents. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus; Etten; McGehee; Laliberte; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> At the request of Mayor Roe, Mr. Bowman responded that he anticipated getting <br /> the survey finalized later this week, and calls to begin within two weeks with re- <br /> sults back within one month. <br /> Recess <br /> Mayor Roe recessed the meeting at approximately 8:03 p.m. and reconvened at approximately <br /> 8:10 p.m. <br /> c. Appoint Members to Ethics; Human Rights; Parks and Recreation; Public <br /> Works, Environment, and Transportation; Finance; and Community En- <br /> gagement Commissions <br /> Mayor Roe suggested a process to be followed in appointments to various com- <br /> missions, including several policy discussions as part of this action tonight relat- <br /> ed to length of terms for new commissions and the expanded PWETC appoint- <br /> ments, and how those appointees would be deemed eligible for additional full <br /> terms. <br /> Discussion ensued, with subsequent action by consensus according to the Mayor's <br /> suggested process. <br /> Ethics Commission <br /> Etten moved, Willmus seconded, appointment of Quick-Lindberg to the Ethics <br /> Commission for a term ending March 31, 2017. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus; Etten; McGehee; Laliberte; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Parks & Recreation Commission <br /> Etten moved, Willmus seconded, appointment of Newby to the Parks & Recrea- <br /> tion Commission for a term ending March 31, 2017. <br /> Without diminishing the qualifications of Newby, Councilmember Laliberte <br /> spoke in support of appointment of Bole and the ability for his representation of <br /> an age group that would provide another element of the community, and bring <br /> pathway connections back into focus. <br />
