History of Driveway In 1959 I wished to put up a two car garage facing Dellwood Street the same distance from the street as my neighbor ,jirectl'l north of me. I v.¡as " told at village Hall that the Code then required an additional 15' setback from the street. This would have made it necessary to fill in that area of my yard about 3' higher, I decided against this. I then asked about a single car garage parallel with Dellwood an\j a circular driveway as I wished to park a car on the north leg of the driveway. This was O.K. at the time, so I built the garage. (Permit #6698, issued Jun. 10, 1959) At this approximate time I put in crushed rocl<. for the drÌVew~w. This wasn't the greatest, so in 1962 I edged the driveway with cement 4" 'cap' type b10cl<s to retain the crushed rocl<.. (c><hibit '8' shows the house, garage, and driveway) Later I had Asprla1t Driveway Company reworl< the base and resurface trH: driveway with asphalt. (Permlt #21419, issued May 20,1983) The driveway has remained the same to tl1is date, save for being coated twice. Reason for Variance Request The relocation of the south leg of the diveway as suqqeste!j in bJ'iÌbit '~ '. '.
