To: Minor Variance Committee

From: J. E. Melville
1194 W. Skillman

Cate: March 1, 1991

Subject: Request for driveway variance

In accordance with the letter received from Mr. Behning regarding the c'ity
project P-91-03 to reconstruct the street and driveway on Skillman Avenue,
I am requesting a 'minor variance' for zoning code 13.050. I purchased the
property at 1194 Skillman in 1973 and have made no changes or additions to
the location of buildings or roadways since then. As can be seen from the
attached drawing there is only 9 feet between the steps of my side door and
the edge of the property. Moving the driveway 5 feet back would require
removal of the steps rendering the side door useless. There is a well room
under the steps also which would have to be covered and enclosed. Therefore
I ask approval of the variance to allow the driveway to remain where it is
and for the new approach to be constructed in the same place as the existing
one. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Sincerely

James E. M~:lm&JJ -'101
t'-1v(.~ 3/3(91

We have read the above narrative and agree with its facts and hereby give
our approval of this variance.

Mark

and Kathy Kenney ~t7,

O/ncvvIL-l)

3/7/7
ð/7/q (

1200 W.
