Inc. request for a <br />special use permit at 1655 County Road B-2. <br /> <br />Backaround: <br /> <br />1. City ordinances indicate that amusement establishments are a <br />use by special use permi t in the S-C Shopping Center .zoning <br />district. <br /> <br />2. The applicant is proposing to construct a golf training and <br />recreational facility in the space previously occupied by the <br />International Fitness Club at ~he Crossroads Shopping Center. <br />Staff has determined that this facility would constitute a <br />amusement facility. <br /> <br />3. The Planning commission unanimously recommended approval of <br />the request for special use permi t for a amusement center <br />. based on the plans submitted. <br />L-. Deny the special use permit request based on the finding that <br />the proposed amusement establishment would be detrimental to <br />the general health, safety, and welfare of the adjacent <br />neighborh~od and community. <br /> <br />2.
