County ad B Rosevil1e, MIl 55113 April 2, 1991 CITY OF ROSEVILLE 2660 Civic Center Drive Rosevi1le, MN 55113 ATT: Rick Jopke Dear Mr. Jopke: We request a minor variance so that our driveway can remain at its present width of 47' per the following: 1) At the City of Rosevi1le's request 22 years ago, we re- located our driveway from County Rd B to Dellwood and then built our garage. (The reasoning behind this request was to cut down on the number of driveways coming off of B because of the four-lane traffic). We were told at that time that it would be to our advantage also, because our driveway could be extra wide to accomoodate more cars. OUr driveway at its present width of 47' was approved at that time. 2) Because of the slope and location of our present driveway (at the bottom of our hill) drainage and maintenance would be a con- tinuous problem and a bad situation would be the result, if we were required to have a 10' separation. If our parking space was reduced, we would be forced to park on the street. 4) Just two years ago, we went to considerable expense in totally replacing our driveway. Based on the facts as presented above, and keeping in mind that at your request and approval our driveway was constructed at 47' wide, we thank you for your consideration in granting us a minor variance.
