Introductions <br />Commissioners and staff will be introduced. <br />2. Public Comment Invited <br />Public participation and public comment is encouraged. <br />3. Approval of Minutes of the March 4, 2014 Meeting <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of March 4, 2014. Please be prepared to approve or amend. <br />Requested Commission Action: Approve /amend meeting minutes of March 4, 2014. <br />4. Introduction and Oath of Office for New Commissioner <br />Terrance Newby was appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission by the City Council on <br />Monday, March 24, 2014. Chair Holt will officially swear in Newby. We welcome him to the <br />Commission and thank him for his interest in Roseville Parks and Recreation. Newby and all <br />Commissioners will briefly introduce themselves and their background. <br />Requested Commission Action: Welcome to Terrence Newby and brief introduction of all <br />Commissioners. <br />5. Dale Street Fire Station Property Park Dedication <br />The Roseville Housing Redevelopment Authority (HRA) has been working through a community <br />process to consider redeveloping the former Dale Street Fire Station. They have selected the <br />Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation as the developer. <br />The role of the Commission is to discuss and make a recommendation from a Park Dedication <br />perspective, specifically recommending either land or cash in lieu. The Park Dedication Ordinance <br />is in your packet. <br />Enclosed is a description of the project, location map and a site plan. The specific site location <br />includes 2335 and 2325 Dale Street and 657,661,667 and 675 Cope Avenue. <br />This is a 3 acre site being redeveloped into a 25 unit mixed residential development. The cash <br />amount is 25 units x $3500 = $87,500 vs. the land amount is 10% of 3.0 acres =.30 acre. <br />Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation is requesting that cash be accepted in lieu of the land <br />dedication. <br />This area is located in Constellation G. There are no specific plans for a parcel in this area. For <br />reference and guidance, in your packet is specific information from the Master Plan including the <br />constellation map and goals and policies related to parks and open space acquisition. <br />Requested Commission Action: To make a recommendation to accept land or cash in lieu of <br />land dedication to satisfy the Park Dedication requirements. <br />
