MEMORANDUM

FROM:

DevelQpment ReV~'ew Co ittee
Craig Waldron
June 12, 1992

TO:

DATE:

SUBJECT:

Roseville Business Commons Phase IV Project

It has come to my attention that the Development Review Committee
has reviewed the plans for the Klodt Roseville Business Commons
Phase IV project and recommended no permit because the Committee
believed the building did not have equal exterior materials on all
four sides. In reviewing this matter I have determined that the
design standards do not require equal materials on all four sides,
only that all exterior materials must be those approved in the
ordinance. The materials shown on the plan are approved materials,
therefore I am directing the inspection staff to issue the permit.
I do not want us to get into a situation where we are rejecting
projects that meet the technical standards.

In the future, plans should be reviewed against actual ordinance
requirements, and not on what the perception of intent mayor may
note be. If the ordinance language does not reflect the perceived
intent then this discrepancy should be reviewed, and modified
through the planning commission at a future date.

CRJ.-\c,

f\tG' Str'---ro;-
4-ð

"
G4~~ (¡,b ~.
1\ 1ó
G.e.- ú-J#q-~ Yð\J ~¡"va-

~ rc.o'\(~,-b<'--- lo í
Cò~µ~lL
~ ~ '5íATE ~
t.;)~~ ~ ~~
MAP-v ¥I~I µ ~ .e:,TAit- ¿1~ ~
~ cO -'6b4)
S P ~'ZÐ2.
