These facilities are also scheduled from April through <br />October for group activities -includ~ng, 'corporations, small <br />businesses, civic organizations, family reunions and various other <br />group outings, many of whom have physically challenged children. <br /> <br />The proposed safety surface that is a part of both project components, <br />is recommended by the Consumer Products Safety Commission and will <br />eliminate any mobility limitations typically imposed by play surfaces <br />such as pea rock, sand, wood chips or grass. Asphalt paths will <br />connect the surrounding area to the safety/accessible surfaces in both <br />areas. The play equipment designed for thè Lexington location will. <br />include specific expenses for children with disabilities. Once this <br />project is completed, it will encompass one of the largest accessible <br />play area with specifically designed features f~r handicapped <br />accessibility in the metropolitan area. <br /> <br />This projec~ is important to the Roseville Community as demonstrated <br />by the Central Park Foundation in contributing $30,000 to the project <br />as well as the previous commitment made by the Central Park Foundation <br />and other community groups. ' <br /> <br />The city will be able to provide a safe and important leisure <br />opportunity for all children and especially those that are physically <br />challenged through the CDBG Grant. <br />
