City ordinances would require that united Trailer Leasing <br />either obtain a special use permit for rental/leasing of <br />motor vehicles to operate permanently on this site or to <br />obtain an interim use permit to allow a temporary use of <br />this site. <br /> <br />3. united Trailer Leasing has requested an interim use permit to <br />operate truck rental and leasing at 2507 Walnut Street for a <br />two year period. No major site improvements are being <br />proposed at this time. <br /> <br />4. The Planning commission unanimously recommended approval of a <br />one year interim use permit in accordance with the <br />application and plans submitted. <br /> <br />Alternatives: <br /> <br />1. Approve the interim use permit with the conditions to allow <br />the applicant to use the site and bring about some temporary <br />improvement to the property. <br /> <br />2. Deny the application based on inconsistency with the 1-2 <br />zoning district and the minimum site improvements proposed. <br /> <br />Policy Obiectives: <br /> <br /><1. To allow temporary use of properties for an interim period <br />until redevelopment occurs. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. It is recommended that the City Council approve United <br />Trailer Leasing request for a interim use permit at 2507 <br />Walnut Street in accordance with the application and plans <br />submitted. <br />
