<br />April 9, 1992 <br /> <br />City of Roseville <br />Roseville, MN <br /> <br />The purpose of this statement is to explain why I am requesting a minor <br />variance for an addition to my garage at 3111 Prior Circle. There are <br />actually two reasons; one to build the addition so that it is most useful <br />and practical, the other to keep the existing and expanded structure as <br />esthetically proper as is possible. <br /> <br />As can be seen on the attached plot plan (Attachment A), the present garage <br />is too close to the side property line to aline the front of the addition <br />with the front of the present garage. The corner of the addition would be <br />less than five feet from the line. Therefore, I propose to set the <br />addition back eight and one-half (8.5) feet from the front of the present <br />garage. This places the addition's front wall just in front of the window <br />in the present garage. I will remove the window and use the opening for <br />access between the old and new parts. <br /> <br />Attachment B shows that this will allow <br />align with the rear slope of the present <br />which would not be esthetically pleasing. <br />Circle and several adjacent ones on County <br />is a very nice looking development. I want <br /> <br />the rear slope of the new roof to <br />roof, avoiding a patchwork effect <br />I built all the houses on Prior <br />Road 0 in such a manner that it <br />to keep it that way. <br /> <br />I would appreciate your approval of this request.
