Lake Street
Minneapolis, MN. 55406

Dear Mr. Nelson:

On July 13, 1992, the Roseville City Council approved our proposal to
operate a seasonal collection site for household hazardous waste (HHW)
in the City of Roseville. The site will be located on Kent Street,
two blocks east of Dale Street, just north of Larpenteur Avenue.

I am writing this letter as a follow-up to our phone conversation on
July 10th regarding the County's plan for responding to incidents of
waste deposited at the site during times when the site is not open to
the public. The site will operate on Fridays from noon until 7 p.m.,
and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. from,September 11 through
October 31st of this year. Information which further describes site
operations is also enclosed.

In our conversation, you agreed to ask employees of the Woodview
Detention facility to report any sightings of waste abandoned at the
HHW collection site to our department. The collection area will be
easily visible from vehicles traveling on Kent Street. If any
abandoned wastes (paint cans, gasoline, or other household chemicals)
are observed, the employee should immediately contact our staff as
follows:

Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m~ until 4:30 p.m.:
Joe Wozniak 292-7825
Zack Hansen 292-7904
Monday through Friday, after 4:30 p.m. , and weekends:
Joe Wozniak 534-7547 (pager)

o

@

recycled

CREATING A HEALTHY FUTURE FOR RAMSEY COUNTY

rec:ycleble
