We have been
advised that you were initially informed by Howard Dahlgren,
the Roseville Planner, that the use of that property for
the purposes of truck rentals was not a permitted use in
either in I-lor in I-2 Zone. That property was zoned I-I.
Mr. Dahlgren after consultation with Mr. Converse of this
office advised you that you could make a request of the
City Council that they amend the zoning code to provide
that truck rentals be a special use (requiring a special
use permit) in an I-2 or I-l zone. You apparently made
such a request and the Council, in its discretion, decided
that truck rentals were not an appropriate use of I-l
property but that it was appropriate in an I-2 zone as a
special use. The Council then amended the zoning code to
allow truck rentals in I-2 zones upon the issuance of a
special use permit.

Your application to use your property for truck rentals
was not turned down by the Council as you state, but instead,
your request to have the zoning code amended was not acted
upon by the Council. They did amend the zoning code but

~~i\
