City ordinances require that special use permits be obtained <br />for outside storage and merchandising. <br /> <br />2. Jade Inc. operates the Amoco Service station at 2441 N. <br />Fairview Avenue. Jade Inc. has requested a special use <br />permit to allow them to have a fenced-in outside storage area <br />on the north side of the building and to have an ice machine <br />on the east side of their building. <br /> <br />3. The Roseville Planning Commission unanimously recommended <br />approval of Jade Inc.'s request for a special use permit for <br />outside storage and merchandising at 2441 N. Fairview Avenue <br />based on the plans submitted. <br /> <br />Alternatives: <br /> <br />1. Deny the special use permit based on the finding that the <br />proposal would be detrimental to the general public health, <br />safety, and welfare. <br /> <br />2. Approve the variance with the finding that the proposed <br />outside storage would not be detrimental to the general <br />public health, safety, and welfare. <br /> <br />Policy Objectives: <br /> <br />1. To insure that development occurs which is not detrimental <br />to the general public health, safety, and welfare. <br /> <br />2. To insure that development occurs consistent with the City's <br />zoning ordinance. <br /> <br />staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. It is recommended that the City Council approve Jade Inc.'s <br />request for a special use permi t for outside storage and <br />merchandising at 2441 North Fairview Avenue in accordance <br />with the plans presented. <br />
