Johnson conmented that if Outlot A were to go tax forfeit the government would <br />then have to maintain it. He asked if the applicant would have any obj ection to Outlot A <br />becoming part of Lot 3. <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Johnson responded that they would prefer not to do it from the standpoint of <br />salabili ty of the property. However. they would not oppose including Outlot A as part of <br />Lot 30 <br /> <br />Mr. Fred Squires. representative of the trustees of Alliance Dlurch. inquired if any <br />filling of the pond would occur. <br /> <br />Mr, J im Johnson responded: "No" . <br /> <br />Mr, Squires asked if there was room to build a home on Lot 3 and Mr. Dahlgren responsed <br />there was. <br /> <br />Several residents in the area indicated they were sure there was not enough room to con- <br />struct a home on Lot 3 and some even questioned whether there could be two homes built on <br />the amotmt of dry land available. Mr. Dahlgren indicated that the survey presented by <br />the applicant showed approximately 10.500 square feet of dry land on Lot 3. He stated <br />that a house could be built on Lot 3 containing over 2400 square feet on one floor and <br />still confoIm to all the setback requirements. The residents in the area questioned the <br />validi ty of the survey, <br /> <br />Mr, Don Harvey. 1865 Cleveland. indicated he would like to see the City buy it for park <br />land, <br /> <br />Mrs, Cushing felt that perhaps two lots should be penni tted. <br /> <br />Mr, Jim Johnson stated Mrs, Healy would be willing to have only the two lots. <br /> <br />Mr, Harvey felt that because of all the water area on the property that there would be <br />room for only one good home 0 <br /> <br />Mr, Jim Lockerall. resident in the neighborhood. expressed concern about making a <br />decision without knowing for sure whether the survey was correct. <br /> <br />Mrs, Healy commented that she tmderstood Mr, Harvey enjoyed the open space provided by <br />her property 0 However. she needed to sell the property. <br /> <br />Mro Pat McIver. Draper Avenue. inquired if the property could be staked out showing the <br />location of the proposed lots c <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr, Rukavina moved and Mr. Mastel seconded, that the Conmission recommend approval of <br />Dorothy Healy's request for preliminary plat "Healy Pondview" at 1955 Cleveland. with <br />the condition that the plat include two lots. However, the Commission would also re- <br />commend approval of three lots if Mrs. Healy can show by staking the property that three <br />lots are possible. This staking should occur prior to the Council meeting of October 18, <br />to provide an opporttmity for the Council and residents to view the property with the stakes <br />lI1 place.
