Robert J. Selden
3063 Farrington Court
Roseville, Minnesota 55113
(612)486-9505

2 June, 1992

City of Roseville,

Subject variances for Lot 11, Block 1, Green Meadow, Ramsey County.

CUrrently the corner of the driveway adjacent to 3059 Farrington Court is
on the property line. I am requesting a variance to cover this along with
continuing this line back to a point parallel to the front of the house and 12
feet out from the front corner of the garage.

I am also requesting a variance to cover the distance the garage is from
the property line and add a 12 X 12 storage shed to my garage. The front
corner of this addition would follow the line established by the front corner
of the garage.

Attached is a letter of approval from the adjacent property owners.

The driveway and garage are closer to the property line than currently
allowed by city code. To move either one would be both impractical and cost
prohibitive. I currently park one vehicle along side of my garage now, but
this causes problems with ground erosion and requires continual replacement of
a parking surface. An addition to the driveway would allow a solid parking
surface and would be more aesthetically pleasing. Having the storage shed
attached to the garage with matching siding and doors makes for a neat and
orderly appearance, unlike out buildings that can detract from the
neighborhood and appear to clutter a lawn.

If there is any questions that need to be addresse~, Please call me or
allow me to meet with the committee to personally explain.
