The vacation of Fernwood Street, between Woodhill and County <br />Road C, is necessary for the construction of the John Rose <br />Minnesota Oval adjacent to the Ice Arena. <br /> <br />2. The Roseville Planning Commission unanimously recommended <br />that the City Council vacate Fernwood Street, between county <br />Road C and Woodhill Drive with the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />as it <br />should <br />their <br /> <br />That the MWCC approves the design of the Oval <br />impacts the sanitary sewer line and that the city <br />meet any conditions that the MWCC puts on <br />approval. <br /> <br />b. That the traffic impacts of any future developments in <br />the civic Center campus area be reviewed by the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />c. That the City Council actively pursue the construction <br />of the traffic signal at Lexington and Woodhill Drive <br />and that a contingency plan be in place if construction <br />of the signal is delayed past 1994. <br /> <br />d. That the City Council address neighborhood parking <br />concerns and implement a parking management plan. <br /> <br />e. That the City Council investigate the possibility of <br />installing traffic control at Hamline and Woodhill <br />Drive. <br /> <br />Alternatives: <br /> <br />1. Approve the vacation based on the finding that the vacation <br />would not be detrimental to the general health, safety, and <br />welfare of the community and neighborhood. <br /> <br />2. continue the matter for further study. <br />policv Objectives: <br />
