Factual information tending to substantiate the <br />alleqations of environmental effects must accompany the petition for <br />it to be valid. The petitioners have a burden of providinq evidence <br />that tends to demonstrate that the impacts they are concerned about <br />may actually occur. <br /> <br />Examples of how you might correct the material evidence deficienoies <br />of your petition include: documentation that runoff from the site <br />will flow untreated into nearby pond or wetland; an explanation and <br />documentation of how excavation for the project will adversely impact <br />qroundwater flows or quality; or documentation about how the <br />increa.ed vehicle traffic will conqast the roadway .ystem and cause <br />air pollution problems. <br /> <br />If the petition 18 revi.ed to correct the deficiencies, and 25 <br />signatures are obtained on the revised petition, you may resubmit the <br />petition for proc...inq. <br /> <br />I am enclosing a sheet of intormation about the environmental review <br />proqram and the citizen petition p~oces..
